First Raffaello, then Carlo and Giovannella, today Nicol\u00f2 and Federica, and tomorrow Allegra, Olivia, and Tito.<\/p>

Four generations, united by the dream of Volpaia.<\/p>

Raffaello, the first of them all, saw the magic of Volpaia. Here, he would invite his friends to grand dinners that culminated in the traditional porchetta feast at San Lorenzo, the patron saint of Volpaia.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Carlo and Giovannella dedicated their lives to bringing Volpaia back to being a village deeply connected to the production of wine, olive oil, and vinegar. Carlo, a sailor and a dreamer, could always be found wandering around the village with a measuring tape in his pocket, a cypress tree in one hand and a rose in the other. Giovannella, energetic and delightfully chaotic, is the mother of everyone in Volpaia and, as such, has earned the right to scold anyone who happens to cross her path. She is the soul of Volpaia!<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Today, Federica and Nicol\u00f2 carry forward a precious legacy built on timeless values, land, and dreams. Federica, a restorer and gallerist, travels the world sharing the values of Volpaia\u2014preferably wherever there is also a good place to ski. Nicol\u00f2 puts technology at the service of all his passions, above all communication and agriculture. But the truth is, Nicol\u00f2 is really at the service of his children: Allegra, Olivia, and Tito.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Il nostro ultimo progetto \u00e8 un orto di m2 1100 con tutte le primizie o meglio le tardizie visto che siamo a 600 m e quando gli altri cominciano a non produrre pi\u00f9 noi abbiamo i frutti pi\u00f9 belli.<\/p>\n

Tutti ci siamo innamorati di questo fazzoletto di terra e a fine lavoro ci ritroviamo a raccogliere, bietole, fragole, zucchine, melanzane\u2026.<\/p>\n

In September 2000, we began filling out the paperwork to convert to organic farming. In reality, for us, it was primarily an administrative step: organic farming is a philosophy, and at Volpaia, long before the world began talking about organic practices, we had always tended our vineyards and fields in a natural way\u2014with no pesticides, no synthetic chemicals, and only natural fertilizers.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Organic farming means keeping a very close eye on the vines and, just as in medicine, prevention is better than cure. We monitor our vines every day, but our microclimate, altitude, and terroir help us naturally protect them from disease.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
